Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: October 21, 2026

What Postmime stores about you

  • Your Postmime account details: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We never store your password itself.
  • For each social media account you connect: the access keys the platform gives us, plus the account's name, handle and profile link.
  • The content you upload or schedule, such as videos, images and captions.
  • The IDs and performance numbers (views, likes, comments) of posts we published for you.

Option 1: Disconnect a single social media account

  1. Log in to Postmime and open Channels.
  2. Find the account and click Disconnect.

The account's access keys are deleted from Postmime immediately, and we can no longer post to it or read from it. To also delete the posts and statistics we stored for that account, use Option 3.

Option 2: Remove Postmime from the platform itself

You can also revoke Postmime's access from the platform's own settings:

  • Facebook & Instagram: Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → Postmime → Remove.
  • Threads: Threads Settings → Account → Website permissions → Postmime → Remove.
  • TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services permissions → Postmime → Remove access.
  • YouTube / Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Postmime → Delete all connections.
  • X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Postmime → Revoke.
  • LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → Postmime → Remove.
  • Bluesky: Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords → delete the password you created for Postmime.

Once you revoke access, the keys Postmime holds for that account stop working and we can no longer post to it or read from it. To also delete the data we already stored, use Option 3.

Option 3: Delete your Postmime account and all your data

Email privacy@postmime.com from the email address on your Postmime account, with the subject "Delete my Postmime data". If you never created a Postmime account but believe we hold data about you (for example, through a platform connection), include the platform and your username there.

We will confirm we received your request within 3 business days and permanently delete your account, connected-account access keys, uploaded content and stored post statistics within 30 days. We will email you when deletion is complete. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
